Panthers hooker Nafe Seluini has finished his time with the club and will start training with the Sydney Roosters today.

The Panthers officially confirmed this morning that Seluini had been granted an early release from his deal at Penrith.

“Nafe showed some great talent during his 19 NRL games with the Penrith Panthers, and was always willing to help out when it came to community events,” said Panthers General Manager of Rugby League, Phil Gould.

Seluini had been sparingly used by new Panthers coach Ivan Cleary and with Kevin Kingston ahead of him, was unlikely to cement a permanent first grade spot in the near future.
