Scorching November heat has prompted Nepean Triathlon organisers to move the event to October.

“Last November the triathlon was held on a very hot November day so we thought that bringing the event forward would offer some respite from the heat,” said organiser, Gordon Bell.

Entries into the famous event are already open for 2012, and there’s a few added surprises for those considering entering.

For competitors who get their entries submitted by April 15, there is the chance to win a trip to the world famous 2012 Tour De France.

“It is a great opportunity to see some of the best athletes in the sport compete and so I encourage everyone to enter to be in the draw to win,” Mr Bell said.

The trip will be to either the Pyrenees or the Alps for a week. Entries can be lodged online at www.nepeantriathlon.com.
