After following the Panthers through thick and thin for most of their lives, two die-hard supporters came up with a concept that would take their support to the next level.
Panthers Weekly with Daniel Lang and Ben Cummins aka “Strawbs and Teach” is the only weekly official Panthers-dedicated podcast on the internet.
Coming to life in 2012, Panthers Weekly became the go-to source each week for Panthers news, reviews and interviews.
The boys have returned for season 2013 and have promised an even bigger and better production.
“This year Panthers Weekly is going to be a lot more polished, last year was a trial run in a lot of ways,” Strawbs said.
“Neither of us had ever made a podcast before, it was something we had to learn. We had a few meetings in the off-season about how we could develop and make the show better.”
This year the boys will feature not only extended interviews with Penrith’s first-grade playing squad, but there will also be a strong focus on the Under 20’s, Windsor Wolves, SG Ball and Harold Matthews sides.
“Last year we managed to get Phil Gould on and that was probably one of the biggest, most inspiring shows ever,” Teach said.
“This year we’d like to interview Luke Walsh, Sika Manu and most of all Ivan Cleary.”
