Get back on track and explore over 70km of tracks and trails on foot or on a bike in Western Sydney Parklands, Sydney’s biggest backyard!

Whether you want a leisurely stroll, a quick jog after work or are training for a big race, Western Sydney Parklands has tracks and trails to suit all levels of fitness and ability.

With Parklands entry points from Blacktown, Fairfield and Liverpool, Western Sydney Parklands’ 11 tracks and trails are perfect for walking, running and some are suitable for cycling.

Walking trails take anywhere from 30 minutes to three hours to complete. Many tracks are paved or gravel and some are wheelchair and pram-friendly, ideal for all ages and abilities. If you’re into adventure, take a path less travelled, along grass tracks, fire trails or old farm roads, suitable for exploring, bushwalking and birdwatching.

All trails are graded according to National Walking Track Grading Systems (levels 1-5), with most parklands tracks and trails graded 1-3, which makes them achievable outdoor routes to start your fitness journey.

One of the newest trails on offer is the 11km Gabrugal Yana bush walking experience.

Explore the story of six Dharug Seasons created by First Nations artists and listen to the meanings and stories behind each artwork, in Dharug language and English. Scan the QR code found at each art tree’s interpretive sign to listen to the audio story.

In addition to track and trails, there’s community events and activities to book and get involved in, including a Trailside Planting Day; Yoga in Nature sessions; nocturnal wildlife walks; and mindful weaving circles with a First Nations artist.

On Saturday, June 9, the inaugural Parklands Running Festival kicks off at Lizard Log. Featuring a 2km Family Dash, and a 5km and 10km run, this is your chance to get into the great outdoors and enjoy a picturesque and nature-filled course.
