An offender remains on the run tonight after a stabbing in Kingswood.
The incident happened at around 5.10pm today at a residence in Anthony Crescent.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 36-year-old man at the scene. He was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
It is understood a male fled the scene on foot prior to the arrival of emergency services.
A police helicopter was circling the Kingswood area for some time earlier this evening.
A crime scene has been established on Anthony Crescent and an investigation into the incident has commenced.
Police are urging anyone who may have information about the matter – or any available mobile phone footage or driving in the area at the time with dashcam – to contact Penrith Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
