A driver has died and a second has been seriously injured in a head-on crash on Mamre Road.
Emergency services were called to Mamre Road at Kemps Creek after a hatchback and a ute crashed shortly after 6am this morning.
One driver died at the scene while a second was trapped for almost an hour before being released. He is being taken by road ambulance to Liverpool Hospital.
They were the only occupants; there are no further details available about the deceased driver.
Officers from Nepean Police Area Command are on-site with and Crash Investigators will be on site for much of the morning.
Traffic is heavy through the area with Mamre Road closed in both directions.
Diversions are in place; light vehicles can divert via Luddenham Road or Wallgrove Road, but heavy vehicles will need to use Wallgrove Road or The Northern Road.
