Henry Street’s Cookies Ice Creamery has flagged its likely closure at the end of next month.

The ice cream shop is actively searching for a buyer but will close on February 29 if one is not found.

Cookies opened in 2021 and was planning further expansion into Glenmore Park, which has now been placed on hold.

“What a rollercoaster! But just like a rollercoaster, it’s time to get off the ride,” the business said on Facebook.

“We’ve made a difficult decision to sell our Cookies Ice Creamery store OR if no sale happens, February 29 2024 will be the last day of trade.

“The past three years have been amazing! an incredible journey of ups, downs, and lots of lessons along with way. Unfortunately, we’ve decided to hang up our bright Blue and Pink aprons.

“Hospitality is a hard gig. Probably one that we both took for granted. To survive lockdowns, equipment mishaps, cost increases across EVERYTHING has shown us how resilient we are.

“We’ll be forever proud of our accomplishments and extremely grateful for the support of everyone along the journey.”
