Penrith centre Stephen Crichton is expected to be promoted to the New South Wales starting 17 for Origin II, with Latrell Mitchell ruled out.
The Blues will confirm this afternoon that Mitchell won’t play in the crucial clash at Suncorp Stadium.
Crichton is set to come into the side as he did in Origin I, promoted from 18th man.
Former Penrith Premiership-winning centre Matt Burton will join the squad as 18th man.
Crichton joins fellow Panthers players Isaah Yeo, Jarome Luai, Brian To’o and Liam Martin in the NSW team.
