Penrith will return to Marvel Stadium in Melbourne for the first time in 22 years to play the Storm next month.

The venue for Penrith’s Round 18 clash with Melbourne has been listed as ‘TBA’ all season due to the unavailability of AAMI Park for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

It was confirmed this afternoon that Marvel Stadium would be the venue for the fixture on Friday, June 30 at 8pm.

The Storm and Eels will also play at the venue in July.

Melbourne officials have resisted the temptation of possible interstate transfers of the games.

Then called Colonial Stadium, Penrith last played at the venue in 2001 – a 28-24 defeat to the Storm in front of 8,808 fans.

Tickets to the Penrith v Storm game will go on sale soon.
