Local shoppers have helped foil an attempted robbery at Glenmore Park this afternoon.
Two men, aged 27 and 30, are accused of entering a tobacconist and threatening an employee with a gun, before stealing a number of items.
A woman noticed an apparent getaway car outside and removed the keys from the ignition, before she was assaulted by the men.
Several witnesses intervened and were able to hold the men at the scene until police arrived.

The woman was treated for minor injuries and a crime scene was established.
Police are continuing their investigations and are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
A firearm was seized from the scene.
