Penrith locals are in for a sweltering Christmas Day, with temperatures to reach the mid-30s next Sunday.
The weather bureau says a sunny day is expected for Christmas Day with a top of 34 degrees in Penrith and no rain.
It’ll cap off a hot few days heading into Christmas with a top of 32 expected on Friday and 31 on Saturday.
Those heading outside of Penrith are still in for a warm day, with a top of 28 degrees expected in the city for Christmas Day.
