Penrith coach Ivan Cleary has named his team for Sunday night’s NRL Grand Final against Parramatta.

Taylan May has officially been ruled out of the game, failing to overcome a hamstring issue. Charlie Staines has been named on the wing.

There are no major surprises with the team list, with Penrith to field a full-strength side outside of May’s injury.

The Panthers have also confirmed a rarity in Grand Finals – they’ll wear the 2022 alternate jersey, following on from their recent Finals games in which they’ve worn the 1991-like jumper.

Eels coach Brad Arthur has also named his team for the decider.

Bailey Simonsson has been named in the centres, with the injured Tom Opacic named on the extended bench but unlikely to play.

Arthur has recalled Nathan Brown to first grade, naming him on the bench with Bryce Cartwright dropping back to the reserves.
