Old Bathurst Road at Emu Plains will be closed for a short period next week to allow for work to take place on the new Emu Plains commuter car park.
The road will be closed between the Great Western Highway and Smith Street, Emu Plains, from 9pm on Monday, April 11 to 5am Tuesday, April 12 2022 and from 9pm Tuesday, April 12 to 5am Wednesday, April 13 2022.
If work is delayed due to inclement weather, workers may utilise up to three nights in the week.
The closures will allow the safe installation of concrete slabs to protect essential utility services under Old Bathurst Road as part of the Emu Plains Commuter Car Park project.
To minimise impact to motorists, Old Bathurst Road will be reopened as soon as work has been completed each night.
A detour will be in place via Russell Street. Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
