A critical incident investigation has been launched after a man was hospitalised following an incident in Sydney’s west.
Police were conducting inquiries throughout the day on Wednesday, March 16, to locate a 60-year-old man reported missing from the Blacktown area. With the assistance of PolAir and Traffic and Highway Patrol officers a vehicle was located stopped on The Northern Road, Jordan Springs, just before 6pm yesterday. The driver sustained a number of self-inflicted injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition. A critical incident team from Kuring-Gai Police Area Command will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. That investigation will be subject to independent review.
