Masks indoors and density limits in hospitality settings will remain in place for another month, the State Government has confirmed.

Initially due to expire this week, restrictions introduced during the Omicron wave will continue until February 28.

That means singing and dancing will remain banned in hospitality venues, entertainment facilities, nightclubs, indoor music festivals and major events.

QR code check-ins will also continue at hospitality and retail shops, as well as a range of other locations, while employees will continue to be encouraged to work from home where possible.

The two square metre rule will continue to apply for indoor venues.

“We have always said we will respond to what is in front of us and tailor our approach as required and that is exactly what we are doing,” NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet said.
