The Local Government Election is set to be postponed again due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak in NSW.

The Weekender understands the State Government will confirm the elections will shift from September 4 to December 4.

It is the second time the elections will be postponed after originally being scheduled for last year.

It’s a clear indication that the State Government believes the current outbreak will stretch on for months.

Current Councillors will remain in their position until the new election date.
