Food courts in shopping centres will re-open from Saturday as further Coronavirus restrictions are lifted.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian confirmed food courts could open again as long as they followed social distancing and hygiene rules.

In addition, up to 20 people will now be able to attend other people’s homes from Saturday, up from the current rule of five.

Outside gatherings of 20 people will also be allowed from Saturday.

“Please do not let your guard down,” Ms Berejiklian said.

“We cannot forget the virus is still amongst us. The virus is deadly and contagious.”
