The Panthers have been dealt a crushing injury blow with new recruit Kurt Capewell to be out for at least 10 weeks.
Capewell left the field with a knee injury in the opening minutes of Penrith’s loss to Parramatta last Friday night.
The club confirmed this afternoon that the 26-year-old has suffered a grade three medial ligament injury in his left knee.
He’ll undergo surgery and is unlikely to return until at least Penrith’s match against the Tigers in late August.
