Local radio station Vintage FM will help residents commemorate ANZAC Day this year, with traditional Dawn Services and marches called off due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

From 5.40am until 6am on Saturday, residents will be able to reflect from home by standing on their driveway or balcony listening to this year’s Dawn Service on Vintage FM as it presents a special 20 minute broadcast on radio FM 88.0 in western Sydney and 88.7 in the Camden Valley and also online at vintagefm.com.au and on the Vintage FM App.

“Let’s show that Australians will always remember those who have served and sacrificed for this nation,” said Vintage FM owner Wayne Willmington.

“We have tried to keep the Service similar to the normal Dawn Services and will be using the normal Penrith Order of Service.”

The broadcast is being put together by the City of Penrith RSL sub-branch President Brian Cartwright and Mr Willmington.

Participating in the Service will be Penrith Mayor Ross Fowler, State Penrith MP Stuart Ayres, Federal Lindsay MP Melissa McIntosh, State Mulgoa MP Tanya Davies and Nicki Gillis will sing the National Anthem.

Updated information can be found on the Vintage FM Facebook page.
