Man accused of assaulting security guard to front court

A member of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) will appear in court today charged by Strike Force Raptor after allegedly assaulting a security guard earlier this year.

About 6.40pm on Saturday, August 31 two men engaged in a verbal altercation at a licensed premises on High Street, Penrith.

When one of the men, aged 29, was asked to leave by a security guard, it’s alleged he refused before headbutting, punching, biting and poking the security guard in the eye.

The men left the venue after additional security and patrons intervened and separated the pair.

Local police attended and commenced inquiries before officers from the Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor took carriage of investigation.

Following extensive inquiries, Strike Force Raptor arrested a 29-year-old man following a vehicle stop on the M4 Motorway at Eastern Creek on Wednesday, September 25.

It will be alleged the man attempted to flee and verbally abused officers during the arrest.

He was taken to Blacktown Police Station and charged with ‘assault occasioning actual bodily harm’, ‘common assault’, ‘excluded person fail to leave premises when required’, and ‘affray’.

The man, who is a member of the Bandidos OMCG, was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today.
