UPDATE: The man and his son have been found safe and well.

Police are seeking public assistance to help locate a one-year-old boy and his father, who have been missing from Kingswood since Saturday night.

Lenny Atlay was last seen with his father – 32-year-old Jacob Misfud – at a home on Jamison Road, Kingswood, about 9pm on Saturday.

The pair are believed to have left in a black 2007 model Holden Commodore, with NSW registration BFG-80D.

Police from Nepean Police Area Command were contacted yesterday and have conducted extensive inquiries into their whereabouts. They are now appealing for public assistance as the search continues.

Lenny Atlay

Lenny Atlay is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with hazel eyes, and blonde hair. He was last seen wearing an orange t-shirt and a nappy.

Jacob Misfud is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of large build, approximately 180cm tall, with dark hair, hazel eyes, with a beard and moustache. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white short sleeved jersey with red writing on the front (similar to ‘Akademia’) and possibly a number on the sleeve.

There are concerns for the welfare of both father and son, and as such, police are asking the public to be on alert and report any sightings of them or the vehicle.

It is believed Jacob Misfud may have travelled to Queensland (possibly Hervey Bay), however he is also known to frequent the Mount Druitt area.

Anyone with information in relation to their whereabouts is urged to Penrith Police Station on (02) 4721 9444 or St Marys Police Station on (02) 9677 7499.
