Londonderry MP Prue Car says she’ll throw her support behind Jodi McKay in the race to become Labor’s next State leader.
Ms McKay and Chris Minns will battle for the leadership following Michael Daley’s departure in the wake of the State Election defeat in March.
Local rank and file members as well as members of the Labor caucus will decide who will lead the party moving forward.
“As the Shadow Minister for Transport and Roads, Jodi’s always been there for the community I represent when we needed her,” Ms Car said on social media today.
“Like helping us fight against the Government’s unfair M4 Toll or stopping the plan to plough a freeway through hundreds of homes and businesses.
“I’m supporting Jodi because I know in her we will always have someone who’ll support us.”
