Police have charged a woman following a domestic-related stabbing in St Marys this morning.
Shortly after midnight today, emergency services were called to an address on Saddington Street, St Marys, after reports of a domestic incident.
Officers attended and located a 29-year-old man with a stab wound to his shoulder.
He was taken to Nepean Hospital in a stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
A woman had fled from the scene.
A crime scene was established, and officers from Nepean Police Area Command commenced an investigation.
About 2am, officers arrested a 20-year-old woman at a nearby address on Mamre Road.
The woman has been taken to Penrith Police Station where she was later charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The woman has been refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Bail Court today.
