Orchard Hills crash survivor Bronco Hoang says it is an insult that the driver who allegedly caused the accident will not face charges over the deaths of his twin boys.
Mr Hoang survived the horror crash on The Northern Road in late September, which killed his heavily pregnant wife Katherine. Their unborn twin boys did not survive. Another family member was also killed in the accident.
“It is an insult to me and my family that my twin boys are not recognised,” Mr Hoang told Ray Hadley on Radio 2GB.
“I did not bury my wife and two injuries… I buried my wife and my unborn twin sons.”
The driver who allegedly caused the crash, Richard Moananu, is facing a slew of charges over the incident, including manslaughter. But the law does not allow for him to be charged over the deaths of the unborn twins.
The State Government is currently considering changes to the law, but it appears unlikely they will occur before the State Election in March.
