The pregnant woman killed in last night’s horror crash at Orchard Hills has been named as 23-year-old Penrith local Katherine Hoang.
Mrs Hoang’s unborn twins also died in the crash.
Her husband Bronco Hoang was pulled from the wreckage and remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Bronco’s 17-year-old sister, Anh Hoang, was driving the group in a Nissan Tiida. She was also killed in the crash.
The group were driving on The Northern Road northbound near Penrith Golf Club when a southbound Mazda crossed to the wrong side of the road, smashing into the Nissan.
A 29-year-old man and sole occupant of the southbound Mazda was trapped for a short time. He was eventually removed and taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition with leg injuries where he remains under police guard.
Mrs Hoang’s best friend Pritisha Shayal told The Sunday Telegraph: “I don’t have enough words to describe how beautiful she was; both her and her sister-in-law, who she saw as her own.”
