Man critical after St Marys crash

Officers from St Marys Local Area Command are investigating following a serious two vehicle collision at St Marys last night.

Just before 11.30pm, emergency services responded to reports that two vehicles had collided on the Mamre Road off Ramp, of the M4.

On arrival officers found a green utility and a semi-trailer at collided head on, with the utility coming to rest under the bulbar of the truck.

The driver of the utility, a man, was trapped before being released and was taken by road to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

The male driver of the truck was uninjured he was taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

A crime scene has been established and is being examined by specialist forensic officers.

An investigation is under way and police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision and have not yet spoke to police to make contact.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact them.
