Penrith will feature in a new episode of Channel Seven’s ‘Sydney Weekender’, thanks to a partnership with the NSW Government to promote the exciting experiences on offer across Sydney.

Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events and Member for Penrith, Stuart Ayres said the episode secured by the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency Destination NSW, will provide added inspiration to people across the State to visit this wonderful part of Sydney.

“With its beautiful river, lakes and proximity to national parks, Penrith is a great escape for the whole family with plenty of things to see and do and a just a 55 minute drive from the centre of Sydney,” Mr Ayres said.

“I am delighted that this upcoming Sydney Weekender episode will uncover one of Sydney’s most popular areas for adventure activities, showcasing the exciting Cables Wake Park in Penrith.

“Promoting key products and experiences across the State is an important of part of the NSW Government to attract intrastate and interstate visitors. Securing episodes on popular travel shows such as Sydney Weekender provides a fantastic platform to encourage visitation to help boost our overnight visitor economy.”

The episode is set to air at 5.30pm this Sunday, November 1 on the Seven Network in Sydney and on the Prime Network across NSW and the ACT.
