Three people have been seriously injured in a car accident at St Marys this afternoon.
Emergency services including a rescue helicopter were called to Glossop Street, St Marys just after 5.30pm where a car had collided with another vehicle before hitting a telegraph pole.
Three people were trapped in the sedan as a result of the collision with the pole with one person going into cardiac arrest at the scene.
One occupant of the vehicle has been flown to Westmead Hospital by the rescue helicopter, with the other two being treated by road ambulance.
Investigations into the crash continue.
