Penrith has always enjoyed a strong friendship with China, and now the relationship could pave the way for lucrative international trade and investment opportunities.

A delegation from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) visited Penrith on December 12 to learn more about the City and investigate the potential for investment here.

The delegation of businessmen and women from all over to China met with the Penrith Business Alliance (PBA) to get an overview of the City and investment options, as well as discuss their own business ventures in China.

PBA Chairman Paul Brennan said this was an excellent opportunity to highlight the unique selling points of Penrith to overseas investors.

“This is the second presentation we have given to a visiting Chinese delegation this year. These visits are a great opportunity for us to profile the City to potential investors, as well as hear about interesting and exciting investment options for us overseas, he said.

Penrith City Mayor Cr Mark Davies said this recent visit proves that we are developing a solid reputation as a great place to invest.

“The delegation specifically asked to come to Penrith, when they could have gone anywhere. We all know this City is full with potential and possibilities, and this recent visit indicates we’re definitely not alone in thinking that,” Cr Davies said.
