Western Sydney Wanderers striker Mark Bridge is confident his side can rack up their third straight win when they meet the in-form Newcastle Jets on Saturday afternoon.

Bridge said the team was on a high after their recent wins against Brisbane and the Melbourne Heart.

“The boys are in good spirits after the last couple of weeks, we’ve been playing some good football and now we’ve got the results to show for it,” he said.

Bridge admitted that it was always going to take some time before football’s newest franchise clicked into gear.

“We had a very disruptive pre-season where we didn’t have very long to prepare to get a team together,” he said.

“I give huge credit to the club and the coaching staff who have done a terrific job recruiting the right players.”

The 27-year-old Sydneysider, who has scored two out of the Wanderers’ three goals this season, praised die-hard fans for their early support.

“Our fans are world class,” he said.
