Police from Penrith Local Area Command are appealing for the public’s help after a newsagent was robbed this morning.
A man and his daughter had just opened their business on the Great Western Highway at Emu Plains shortly after 5am today, when two men armed with machetes entered the store and threatened them, demanding cash.
The men took cash and cigarettes and ran from the store.
Police were alerted and conducted a search of the area without success.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation is now underway.
