Things are set to fiery this weekend when the Western Sydney Rollers present what is guaranteed to be a night of fast-paced, action packed, full contact women’s roller derby at the Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre.
Tomorrow night, October 13, could cap off an amazing turnaround for team the Circuit Break-Hers, who only have one win to their name in the interleague standings.
They’ll do battle against the Hellfire Honeys who have stuck with a recipe that has proven to work for them so far this season – teamwork and communication that produces an intimidating pack, combined with aggressive, nimble jammers.
History favours the Hellfire Honeys in this matchup but momentum has been behind the Circuit-Break-Hers all season.
The evening will also feature an opening bout starring the Fearleaders and the Zombees.
The Fearleaders are winless in interleague play this season, having suffered a loss at the hands of the Sydney Roller Derby League’s the Snipers, in addition to a disappointing interleague campaign against the Circuit Break-Hers and the Hellfire Honeys.
The Zombees are still on a high from their first win in round four but with a place in the finals still obtainable the Fearleaders are set to return the colony back to their hive without the win.
All the action will take place this Saturday, October 13 at the Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre from 5.30pm. Tickets are $15.
