The Panthers will be looking for a new ground announcer next season after Scott McRae confirmed his surprise departure today.
McRae told fans during today’s clash with Canberra that after 15 years, his last match on the microphone would be in two weeks’ time against the Titans.
It is unknown if McRae decided to leave his post or if he was being moved on by Panthers.
McRae, a television host and star of the current musical ‘Stevie’, has been an institution at Penrith Stadium.
Earlier this year, Andrew Voss handled ground announcing duties for two matches but McRae returned last month for Penrith’s game against the Roosters.
