Luke Lewis will front a press conference at 2pm where it is expected he’ll confirm he’s quitting the Penrith Panthers.
In what will be a dramatic day at Panthers headquarters, Lewis will join Phil Gould to make the announcement.
It follows rumours last night and a report in The Daily Telegraph today suggesting that Lewis would ask the club for a release.
If it is correct that Lewis is moving on, it is likely to spark anger amongst the fan base, with whom the 2003 premiership winning player is a favourite.
Rumours about Lewis’ future at the Panthers have been circling since earlier this year when he was sensationally stripped of the captaincy during the Origin period.
