Penrith winger Sandor Earl will leave the club immediately and link up with the Canberra Raiders for the rest of the season.

The shock move was confirmed by Earl this afternoon.

“It was a very hard choice to leave Penrith and Windsor as they have been great to me,” he said on Twitter.

“I would like to thank all the Penrith fans… you have made my time very enjoyable and something I will never forget in my life.”

Earl made his debut for Penrith in 2010 but has been in and out of first grade since, and has only been used sparingly in 2012.

He’s the second player to leave Penrith mid-season, with Nafe Seluini linking up with the Roosters today.
