Penrith’s Toyota Cup side is back on top of the table after a stunning 52-12 win over the lowly Gold Coast at Skilled Park today.
Penrith led 34-0 at half-time and scored two tries in the opening six minutes of the second half to wrap up the win.
Backing up from Monday night’s tough win over the Warriors, the Panthers seemed to switch off in the final half hour of the game, allowing the Titans to cross twice to add some respectability to the scoreline.
Chris Smith scored a late try to ensure the Panthers cracked the half century.
The win was even more impressive given regular halfback Harry Siejka was out of the side after being called up to first grade.
Zac Mackay equalled the Toyota Cup club point scoring record with a personal haul of 24 points, thanks to two tries and eight goals.
