Lachlan Coote has been dramatically dropped from the NRL in a surprise move from Panthers coach Ivan Cleary.
And Michael Jennings will make a return to the Panthers – he’s been named at centre alongside Brad Tighe, with Geoff Daniela relegated to a seven-man bench.
Josh Mansour will replace Coote at fullback, while Sandor Earl returns to first grade to slip onto the wing.
The Panthers have named five-eighth Travis Burns but the Weekender understands he has a broken cheekbone and Harry Siejka will be called into the side to play Gold Coast on Sunday.
