Police have arrested and charged a local taxi driver with child pornography charges after a commuter caught the driver with the images on a laptop.
At 12am on Sunday, March 11, a local punter got into a taxi in Penrith and saw that the taxi driver had a laptop.
The passenger saw that on the laptop there were images of child abuse and notified the police.
Penrith police were able to track down the taxi and its 50-year-old Claremont Meadows driver.
He was charged with possess child pornography and will face Penrith Local Court on March 26.
