World Gym Penrith is gearing up to prove that Sydney is home to the strongest men in the country.

The World’s Strongest Man is an international title and the Sydney qualifying event will be held at the local gym this weekend.

The strongest men throughout Sydney will compete in the last qualifying stage with the hope of continuing on in the tour.

“It’s a big thing for Penrith to host because the strongest men from all over Sydney will be coming here to compete,” said Club Manager of World Gym Penrith, Amanda Freeman.

The ‘Giants Live’ Australian Tour Final, which is one of only six world wide qualifying events, will be staged at Melbourne Fit X in March and will showcase Australia’s finalists.

The event at World Gym Penrith will be held in the car park and is the only Sydney qualifier for the national title.
Other states are in the process of holding Strongman qualifiers and the winners will compete with Sydney’s Strongest Man at the Melbourne event.

The top three winners of the ‘Giants Live’ National Title will go on to compete in the international Strongman competition with 30 of the world’s best Strongman athletes.

On Saturday, in addition to the qualifying event, World Gym Penrith will host a coaching and trial event run by StrongFit.

It’s an attempt to encourage novice and amateur athletes to get involved in the sport of Strongman.
