They’ve started calling him Postman Pat.

Why? Because he delivers.

Penrith’s rising cricket star, Patrick Cummins, marked an incredible Test debut for Australia this week with a seven wicket haul and man of the match honours against South Africa.

Not only did Cummins stun with the ball, but he also hit the winning runs in the nailbiting two wicket victory.

“Just to get a Test match is unbelievable and obviously a great win like today… just tops it off,” Cummins said in a post-match interview, broadcast on Fox Sports.

Cummins grabbed his first wicket in the first innings, but came alive in the second when he took 6 for 79 and at one stage was on a hat-trick.

While he only scored two runs in Australia’s first innings, and 13 in the second, it was his boundary, punched through mid-wicket and mid-on that secured the much-needed win for the Aussies, who were reeling after a disastrous first test.

The incredible debut carries on an amazing rise for Cummins, who continues to do the Penrith brand proud.
