$5On Saturday 3 August, the Blue Mountains Historical Society will hold its next public meeting and talk, commencing at 10.30 am, at the History Research Rooms at 99 Blaxland Road, Wentworth Falls.
Our speaker on this occasion will be Andy Macqueen.
Andy is a well known member of the Blue Mountains community and a very long term member of the Blue Mountains Historical Society.
Andy will speak about the subject of his new book entitled “The Frenchman: Francis Barrallier, Life and Journeys, 1773-1853”.
Francis Barrallier is best known for his attempt to cross the Blue Mountains in 1802, and the long journal he wrote about it, including much detail about the Indigenous people and communities he encountered along his path.
Come along on 3 August 2024 and listen to Andy recounting Barrallier’s experiences.
Tea and coffee are available for a gold-coin donation from 10.00 am. Entry to the talk is free to members, $5.00 for non-members.
