Penrith coach Ivan Cleary has named his side to take on top-of-the-table Cronulla at PointsBet Stadium this weekend.

The Panthers will look to bounce back from Sunday’s shock loss to the Warriors against the competition leaders.

Taylan May, who was left out of the team on Sunday after his arrest on domestic violence charges, is again missing from the side. Paul Alamoti has been named in the centres.

May, who is due to front court next month, is not impacted by the NRL’s no-fault stand-down rule, but there is speculation the NRL may act regardless and stand him down until the court case is complete.

Liam Henry returns for the Panthers on the bench, but Luke Garner is out.

Cleary has opted to retain the new halves pairing of Jack Cole and Jarome Luai for the clash.

Penrith and Cronulla play on Saturday at 5.30pm.
