The school was placed into lockdown at around 1.30pm.

It is understood a student arrived on campus armed with a knife.

A staff member at the school sustained a minor injury while trying to get the knife away from the student.

The lockdown lasted a little over an hour and it’s understood NSW Police attended the school.

“Please be assured all students and staff are safe. More information will be provided shortly,” the school said in a statement.
