Woman kidnapped, assaulted in Kingswood

A woman has allegedly been kidnapped and held at a Kingswood home for two days.

About 1am today, officers from Nepean Police Area Command responded to Kingswood Railway Station, where a 29-year-old woman was found suffering facial and leg injuries.

Police were told, the woman had been held at a Kingswood home for two days and physically assaulted with a pole and frying pan before she was able to escape and notify police.

She was taken to hospital where she remains in a stable condition.

“Detectives commenced an investigation and as part of inquiries attended a home on Joseph Street,” a Police spokesperson said.

“A warrant was later executed at the premises and the occupants, a 23-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, were arrested and taken to Penrith Police Station.

The man was charged with ‘take/detain person with intent to obtain advantage occasion actual bodily harm’.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today.

The woman was later release pending further investigations. Inquiries continue.
