Penrith is bracing itself for a wet start to next week with huge downpours predicted on Monday and Tuesday.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) says up to 40mm of rain could fall on Monday and another 50mm on Tuesday.
It says there is a 100 per cent chance of rainfall across both days.
Another 15mm will fall on Wednesday while the wet weather will continue into the latter part of next week.
The rain could arrive as early as today with the BOM saying there’s a 50 per cent chance of up to 3mm of rain falling this afternoon. Another 7mm could fall across the weekend.
