Penrith couple win $100,000 Lotteries prize

A Penrith woman has declared her recent $100,000 Lucky Lotteries win as a godsend, after her husband’s hours were cut back at work due to COVID-19.

The woman won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10375, drawn on Monday.

Confirming the news with an official from The Lott this morning, the woman explained how her win had come at just the right time.

“Last night I was just checking my ticket on my phone and I saw the win,” she explained.

“I was with my husband and we were so happy! I was in complete shock, but my husband was screaming and crying.

“This is a godsend for us. It has come at the most amazing time.

“It truly is a blessing. We have been praying for something like this, and now it’s happened, we just feel so happy.

The overjoyed woman explained that they had been going through tough times and couldn’t be more grateful for their win.

“We have been struggling a lot lately,” she shared.

“My husband’s job has been impacted because of COVID-19. So this just gives us complete relief.

“This will go straight on the mortgage. We will definitely have a nice dinner to celebrate once the money is in the account.”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased the winning entry at High Street Lotto, 447 High Street, Penrith.

High Street Lotto co-owner Lindsey Clark said he couldn’t be happier for his customer.

“It’s quite exciting!” he shared.

“We wish them all the very best and hope they can make good use of the money and really enjoy life!

“We will be celebrating instore and sharing this news with customers. We were due for another major prize win. Hopefully we have some more soon!”
