Motorists are being advised of changed traffic conditions from next week at The Northern Road M4 Motorway interchange, Orchard Hills, as part of work on The Northern Road upgrade.
The westbound on ramp and eastbound off ramp at the M4 Motorway will be temporarily closed over two separate weekends to continue work on upgrading the ramps at the interchange.
Work on the westbound on ramp will be carried out from 8pm Friday, April 24 to 5am Monday, April 27, weather permitting.
Work on the eastbound off ramp will be carried out from 8pm Friday, May 1 to 5am Monday May, 4 weather permitting.
During the temporary closures, motorists wishing to enter the M4 Motorway westbound will be detoured via The Northern Road, Parker Street, North Street/Jane Street and then use Mulgoa Road to access the M4 Motorway westbound on ramp on Mulgoa Road.
Motorists wishing to exit the M4 Motorway eastbound will be detoured via the Mulgoa Road exit, then use Jane Street /North Street to return to The Northern Road.
Lane closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.
