Temperatures to soar above 40 degrees this week

Penrith is gearing up for a week of scorching temperatures with residents being urged to take care, especially on Tuesday and Thursday.

While there’s the chance of some rain today and temperatures will only top 27 degrees, things will start to heat up from tomorrow.

A top temperature of 33 degrees is predicted on Monday ahead of a scorching 39 degrees on Tuesday.

There will be a slight reprieve on Wednesday when the top temperature will be 30 degrees but on Thursday the Bureau is predicting a top of 41.

It’ll be 31 on Friday and hot again next Saturday with a top temperature of 38 degrees predicted.
