Nepean Hospital has been reopened after being placed in lockdown this afternoon due to a security scare.
Police descended on the Kingswood health facility, with unconfirmed reports that a threat was made towards the hospital.
The Emergency Department was closed for more than an hour, with ambulances diverted to nearby hospitals.
Just before 1pm, the hospital was declared safe and police commenced exiting the scene.
Thankful to all the incredible staff at #nepeanhospital for their calm, caring professional manner during today’s #bombthreat #evacuation Hard enough job at the best of times. 💚
