A man has died after being struck by a truck on the M4 in a bizarre accident this afternoon.
About 12.20pm today, emergency services were called to the M4 near the Mulgoa Road on-ramp, after reports a man was struck by an eastbound truck.
The male pedestrian died at the scene.
The man driving the truck was taken to Nepean Hospital suffering shock. He will also undergo mandatory blood and urine tests.
Officers from Nepean Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
There are extensive traffic delays on the M4.
